So many trees go unnoticed by us for most of the year as we go about our daily lives. They quietly breathe oxygen into our environment and absorb the carbon and other pollutants that our modern lifestyle produces.

Autumn is often a time of year when trees recapture our attention, with a glorious display of colour, the sound and texture of their discarded leaves, and often fruit or nuts to sustain wildlife and humankind alike.
