Trees for Streets is committed to ensuring its services are accessible and easy to use for the widest range of visitors possible, regardless of disability or impairment.
We work to ensure that our web services follow the practices laid out in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG), published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
We see adherence to good accessibility as a continuous journey and are always working to improve the usability of our services for all users without exception.
If any user has trouble using this service for any reason we will be happy to support that user offline, whether that be over the phone or in writing. Please contact us at team@treesforstreets.org
Headings are relevant and descriptive. The heading structure is designed to provide a way of getting a logical overview of the page and allowing screen readers to jump to areas of interest.
The language we use should be clear and easy to understand. We write for a wide range of reading ages.
The wording for text links will be carefully chosen so that each link clearly indicates the destination and is easy to identify.
Links will not open in a new window as a general rule, unless they are for external websites.
Text size can be increased or decreased if it is not suitable for easy reading. Use your browser settings to adjust the size.
We have designed the site to ensure there is a good level of contrast for text elements, so that they are distinct from backgrounds.
We have designed the forms on our site to make it easier to complete for all users.
Our sponsorship journey utilizes a progress to indicate where the users is in the journey.
The information required in our forms is clearly labelled. We also indicate what information is mandatory and what is optional.
We are continually seeking to make improvements to the site and welcome any comments, suggestions or feedback. If you experience any accessibility issues whilst using our website, please let us know by emailing us at team@treesforstreets.org
